Spring is a great time to clean out the old stuff, sweep away the dirt and cobwebs that have built up over the past few months and make a clean start. That’s what I’ve done with my site and my blog.
I started this site in late 2011 and made some effort in getting posts together and providing my readership with some value. Over time I was drawn away for several reasons and I made the choice to shut down my active content until such a time as I could refocus and provide content I was excited about and that had relevance. That time is now.
I came back to the blog with a different purpose this time: research. I took an interest in a few areas and while I don’t claim to be a subject matter in any of them, I do have a passionate desire to learn more and explore them. I thought I would share my exploration here and document the trip for my readership. Along the way I’m sure I’ll get some opinions and feedback (whether I ask for it or not) to help me with my research.
I’ve divided my areas of interest into projects and listed them at the top of the page on a menu that you can use to read about the project and read the recent postings about the project. My intent is to keep a static page with a summary that I’ll update as time goes forward with my findings and a rich history of posts about topics related to that project. Here’s the teaser – All the projects have a point of convergence. A spot in the (maybe not so) distant future where they will converge and interact with each other in a very unique way.
Finally a few points of housekeeping. I’ve deleted a lot of older posts that just aren’t relevant to the site’s future direction but I’ve kept some which I think will be useful and have meaning for me or my readership. I’ve tweaked a few other things on the site as well to make sharing my thoughts and ideas a little easier in a clearer and more concise format.
What do you think? Leave your feedback here or drop me an email at Chris@ this blog’s url and let me know. I’d also be interested in knowing what your social media outlet of choice happens to be. Finally (and most importantly) sign up for my mailing list to keep in contact with me and the projects I’m pursuing. I promise no spam, just periodic updates on the projects I’m working on and topics related to them.
That’s all for now. Stay tuned!
